Mr. David Weschler - Licensed Massage Therapist
ANNOUNCING MASSAGE THERAPY NOW AVAILABLE
DAVID WESCHLER, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, and State certified in NJ.
He specializes in full body relaxation massage and in specific pain and stress relief in the neck, back, shoulder, and feet. Treatments integrate deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish, shiatsu, PNF stretching, and sports massage. The most effective treatment for each client is selected following an individualized assessment.
Mr. Weschler brings to massage therapy a deeply ingrained professionalism and ethical behavior that distinguished his career as a successful lawyer in New York City. Repeated surveys of his peers accorded him the highest professional ratings for legal skill and personal integrity. His dynamic tools are now therapeutic touch instead of advocacy, but developing a relationship of trust with each client and providing effective relief call upon the same high professional standards to which he adhered in legal practice. He says: "I feel doubly blessed to have a wonderful wife and family and to be a health care professional able to relieve pain and stress through therapeutic massage. I am privileged to work in association with renowned chiropractor Dr. Stephen J. Press."
Massage therapy complements our Chiropractic care, and is given in conjunction with Drs. Press' treatments if so scheduled. Massage sessions also may be scheduled separately at Drs. Press' office or in your home. If you cannot schedule a massage appointment at the times listed below, please contact Dr. Press' office to see if other arrangements can be made.
We look forward to assisting you.
(Note: All massage services must be paid directly to the therapist. If you are Dr. Press' Patient, and your insurance covers Massage, Dr. Press can bill for our services, and you will be reimbursed whatever part they cover.)
It is very helpful to have massage therapy ancillary to your Chiropractic adjustments. It makes it easier to accept the adjustment and patients get better faster.
Should you get the therapy before or after your visit with Dr. Press?
Frankly, in Dr. Press' experience, it is a matter of the chicken or the egg. In other words, if you get your massage before your adjustment, you will likely be more relaxed to be adjusted and therefore get greater benefit from your adjustment. If however, you get massaged after your adjustment, you will leave having significantly less muscle tension and spasm then from an adjustment alone.
Is the therapist Licensed?:
In New Jersey, Massage therapists are those trained with at least 500 hours of education after high school, and graduating from a New Jersey or New York State Department of Education approved vocational-technical school for that purpose. Mr. Weschler is a college graduate, and a retired Attorney, who has now completed a rigorous program of more than 1000 hours, and thus is eligible to be licensed in practically any jurisdiction granting such licensure.
Insurance reimbursement?
Our Massage Therapist, Mr. Weschler, is LICENSED by the State [A 4455 - 2007], Until the Insurance carriers come up to speed though, all massage treatments remain strictly cash, and paid directly to the therapist.
